Candle warmer guide
Are candle warmers safe?
A candle warmer has no open flame, but the bulb and shade get warm. Keep it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from water, curtains, pets, and small children, and follow the instructions. It is not a substitute for supervision.
Why flameless is different
A candle warmer melts wax with a bulb instead of burning a wick. There is no open flame, no match, and no soot from combustion. That removes the most obvious fire risk, but it does not make the unit cold. The shade, bulb, and base can still get warm enough to hurt if you touch them or knock the unit over.
Where to put it
Use a flat, heat-resistant surface that is not at the edge of a table. Keep it away from water, paper, curtains, and anything that can fall onto the shade. Leave space around the unit for heat to escape. Do not move it while it is on.
Pets and kids
There is no flame to bat at, but a curious cat or child can still knock over a warm shade or pull a cord. Keep the warmer out of reach, secure the cord, and use the timer so it is not running unattended for hours. If your pet chews cords, keep the warmer on a table the pet cannot reach and unplug it when it is not in use.
FAQ
Can I leave it on overnight?
Use the timer and follow the manufacturer's instructions. If the instructions say not to leave it unattended, turn it off before you sleep.
Does the shade get hot?
Yes, the bulb and shade can get warm. Do not touch them while the unit is on, and let it cool before moving it.
Is it safe on a nightstand?
It can be, if the surface is stable and the unit is away from the edge, water, and fabric. Keep the cord secured and follow the instructions.
